What we collect
There is no account here: no sign-up, no email address and no profile, so we never ask you for anything that identifies you.
Like any website, our hosting records ordinary technical request logs (IP address, timestamp, the URL requested and your browser’s user-agent string) for security and diagnostics. We do not use them to build a profile of you. Advertising and analytics are covered in their own sections below.
What stays on your device
Gridmark is a puzzle you play entirely in your browser. Nothing you do in a game is sent to us: there are no network requests while you play, no score upload, and no server-side record of your puzzles, times, or mistakes.
The game saves a little state in your browser’s local storage so your progress survives a refresh. These keys are prefixed gridmark. and stay on your device:
gridmark.settings— your highlight and mistake-tracking preferences.gridmark.best— your best completion time per difficulty.gridmark.streak— your daily-puzzle streak (current and best).gridmark.daily— today’s puzzle and your in-progress board, so you can resume mid-game.
Clearing your browser data deletes all of this. We cannot recover it, and we never receive it in the first place.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Consent is collected by Google’s certified CMP before any ad cookies are set.
